I know, I know, please don't
fall out in the
floor. It has been a while since I
blogged. So, I
will not be back tracking. Well, not
too much anyway. I wanted to
talk about the wonderful day I had
this past Saturday with my husband.
We had the opportunity to do
whatever we wanted on Saturday.
No plans, no children (my in laws had
them), and most of all no chores.
So, we decided to try something new...
Kayaking.
I am absolutley head over heels in LOVE
with kayaking now.
It has to be the most fun and most
relaxed I have ever been at the same time.
We decided to go down Big Wills Creek.
After we had been chugging along down
the creek a while. We decided to pull
over to eat lunch. Dustin pointed out
a good spot and we made our way
out with lunch in hand.
Well....
about two seconds of being out
of our kayak, a rather fast snake
decided he wanted a bite of what
we had. He swam right up on the
bank with us. I,of course, screamed.
We jumped right back in the water
and mosied on down to a different spot.
That was the first of events.
So after eating we layed out for a little
while, enjoyed the beautiful sun that day.
It was like 96 degrees I think.
Then decided to get back to paddling.
I made it to a part where the grass
had grown over most of the creek but
one small opening where the water was
rushing through. Well, I am not an avid
kayaker. I do good to walk in my house
without running into the walls.
Dustin had been through it and was
already out of site and up around
the bend. Oh me, I could see that
I was about to slam

into a fallen tree and there was
no stopping it. So, I watched myself run
into it and I screamed,
HELP!

Dustin heard me but if you have ever
tried to paddle back up a very
fast moving stream, it's

I look up and grab the only available limb
that is about the size of half of your pinky
finger and pray it will hold. IT DOES!
I flip right side up make it down stream.

I see Dustin and he says, "I heard you

and just knew you were a goner".
HAHA!!!
After that I managed to stay safe and dry.
Did I mention I was able to take my phone
